Fashion and Military - one would for the most part never really think the two go hand in had but technically speaking, even though the two are so different from each other that doesn't mean that when combined they can't create something that changes lives for the better. In this instance that is exactly what the Wounded Warrior Project and the Under Armour Fashion Design Team do when they join forces creating some basic pieces for our wounded veterans. Being able to have clean clothes and your basic necessities are crucial in any situation but imagine finding yourself in a hospital and having nothing on you except what you are wearing when you were wounded. It is at this moment where the WWP and Under Armour Design Team step in and give the wounded veteran a back pack with basic necessities as well as clean clothes that they can wear. I know for some it may not seem as much but if you take a deeper look at the significance to this you will be able to recognize how not only is it comforting but also uniting. Comforting because it shows the wounded veteran that someone was already thinking of them and ready for them before they arrived at the hospital. Uniting because the moment they put on the clothes with the WWP logo, they become part of a family that empowers them. Don't believe me? Take look at the design of the clothing as you can see that it is closely resembles the attire of what a sports team would wear. So for those of you that may have just thought it was a"nice" gesture if you look closer you'll see how it is more than that. So kudos to the WWP for doing this and I have to give my shout out being a fashionista myself, I must say those designers at Under Armour do a mighty fine job of not only creating clothes that boost the morale of our wounded vets, but also help them look good in a uniform. Check out the goodies the WWP provides for our veterans below. Oh! and don't forget you can also buy a pack for a veteran as well - as the saying goes...support our troops and get the gear at Under Armour. Below I included a link where you can do this...
