Hello all that are reading my bootcamp adventures!
Ok, so I hope this Tour of Duty Journal blogging has not only entertained but also helped to inspire and uplift. My journey here at Pure Power Bootcamp has been nothing but "personal growth" in every aspect. I can honestly say that this place changed my life. For those of you that may not know where I started to where I am now...I started bootcamp at a size 10 pushing a 12; my goal was to be back to my smaller size which was a 0/2. I am excited to say that I did reach my goal but I definitely didn't do it on my own. It was with the help of Pure Power Bootcamp that I am where I am today. So Kudos to all at PPBC! I heart you all! Oh! And one more thing, I wanted to mention even though this is the last entry for the Tour of Duty Journal, stay tuned for next week as technically speaking it's not over just yet...There's more bootcamp adventures to come...

Tour of Duty Journal
Week 8, Day 4
Whoo Hooo! You're not going to believe it! Today I was actually able to climb both the medium/tall walls all by my little self! No help! I was soo excited! I really can't believe I did all this in such a short time frame. I honestly thought it would take me longer to do all this. I also moved up on the weights and it's getting tougher and tougher. The trainers are starting to be more stern and giving me harder exercises. I'm now supposed to jump the hurdles like the guys do. Rocky Balboa here I am! I'm really excited about my progress and can't help but wonder in 6 months how much my life will change if I keep working on improving myself/health. First and foremost I want results! So changing my lifestyle is very important. I would like to do really well. I would like to get the most I can of this journey and be able to grow and become better. I want to give it my all because I know the harder I work here at bootcamp, the better I'll become in other aspects of my life. I'm excited! There is so much to look forward to in the next 6 months!

Tour of Duty Reflection...
So I wanted to write about my thoughts of this entire Tour of Duty experience. I can't help but ask myself a couple of questions because now that I have finished, I feel as if I am at a different stage in this journey. I am excited to change and soo glad that I came here. Never in my life did I see myself in bootcamp but I'm just so glad I found this place. Of all the places in NYC, this one's my all time favorite! Anyhow, my Tour of Duty questions are simple, but none the less I think it's a good exercise to do as it keeps your mind clear and refreshed. In other words you'll be able to reflect on what did and what didn't work...
Looking back what would you change?
- I think the one thing that I would change to improve would be having clear set goals
-Having planned meals (this is a BIG one! It may not seem like it but I think this will make a huge difference)
-Have clear, focused mindset
-Keep updated with journal (sounds hokey but it helps as writing things down really helps me be thoughtful of everything)
What Worked/Helped?
-Being in a group setting (this was just so much more motivating)
-being myself and wanting to see myself improve
-Thinking of being on stage and "shining" at Ms. United States
What doesn't work?
-Not sticking/reviewing weekly goals
-Not changing old habits (time to venture out and get out of my shell)
-Staying in "the comfort zone" (nothing ventured, nothing gained)
-Not sticking to schedule
Overall I can honestly say that I am really proud of myself for having started all this, improving, and finishing! I feel happier as I think the harder I work on all this the better I'll become/feel. Something is bound to happen - even if it's loosing 5 pounds! I think it really is possible to look like that girl I saw that was all chissled the first week I started all this. The next 6 months are going to be... AMAZING!!! I'm going to be a bootcamp star! Ms. United States here we come!!! Gonna be a star. A bootcamp star! :) Pure Power Bootcamp Rules!
