Week 8, Day 2
Ab days at bootcamp!I still can't believe how fast this Tour of Duty has occurred. I'm almost there! And to think that when I first started I was such a mess! I really didn't think I was going to get to finish all this. I've gotten so much stronger and better in such a short time frame. I can only imagine what the next 6 months will be if I just keep going and keep myself focused. Today I felt really great and even though I haven't finished just yet, I already feel such a sense of accomplishment for finishing all this. We did a lot of ab stuff today, lots of those tummy twisters but we also did lots of star jumps (my favorite!) and bear crawls combined with sprinting. We got a really short water break and then we had to do lots of squat thrusts with jumping lunges. The lunges really gave me a run for my strength as my legs literally got really warm - I definitely felt the burn with those.
Anyhow besides that, I can't help but keep thinking a lot of the conversation I had with Ms. Brenner. Everything she said about really digging deep and really knowing what is it that I really want to accomplish keeps my mind thinking and in constant planning mode. Even though I do feel a lot better of where I am, I know I have a lot of work to do to in order to get to where I really want to be. I am going to need a lot of "metal power " to keep me focused and consistent for the next 6 months of bootcamp. I started brainstorming my thoughts and ideas of all this. I'm going to have to really, really keep a steady pace so I don't burn out and stay consistent. So even though it would be nice to have results occur over night; reality is that it just takes time and I'll just have to go day by day just like I did with the Tour of Duty. Day by day, everyday...
So for the meantime her are some of my doodling/thoughts/ideas, etc...
-keep focused, think of what the end goal is
-think of how it will feel to be able to fit back into my favorite dress :)
-bootcamp goal.. I really want to climb that middle/tall wall and one day the intensity wall with no help
be able to have core strength so I can keep doing those sit-ups until the sun rises!
-have tones arms, legs and tummy!
-work hard, even in days that seem impossible
- know and believe that anything really is POSSIBLE
