Back on the Intensity Wall at Pure Power Bootcamp, NYC...

Pure Power Bootcamp Journal:
Day... I lost count! The journey continues...
OOooohh goodness, today was rough! I need to practice more squat thrusting and push ups. As usual Tuesday is Ab day At PPBC and we did a lot of tummy stuff. Twisting and turning - my little heart was pumping really hard when we were doing these slow ab crunches. It was humbling once again and I found it to be more difficult as doing these ab exercise really S-L-O-W-L-Y made things harder. I felt all my ab muscles trying their hardest to keep me in the correct ab crunch position. It was to say the least like when you go rock climbing and you feel you need to hang on for dear life and all your strength is coming from your tummy muscles- yeah something like that except they were ab exercises.
Besides that for some odd reason today my legs felt like bricks - I wanted so hard to keep running but I really did feel like I had rocks in my shoes. I wonder if it's just because of the cold weather or maybe because it's so close to Halloween..All the exercises were definately testing my Rocky Balboa muscles and my Dara Torres mentality. Although, all in all I did do well with holding the plank. I tried really, really hard and even though my arms were shaking... at the end I held it up. Yeah victory to my bicep muscles! Today was hard but I finished and I'll just keep stretching so hopefully next time I won't feel like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz when he needed his joints oiled! And so the journey continues to get to my next goal of having Rocky Balboa strength and Dara Torres abs - no chestnut excuses! And on we go...
