So Close to the finish line at Pure Power Bootcamp, NYC - Week 8, Day 1

Tour of Duty Journal
Week 8, Day 1
This is my last week! So excited! I can't believe I've gotten this far. I honestly didn't think I could or would finish this bootcamp thing! I just didn't know. Anyhow, I definitely can't wait to start the 6 month maintenance. I'm not sure how much weight I will loose but I do believe that technically speaking it is possible for me to be stronger and totally chiseled like the girl I saw the first week I was here. The one I thought was an instructor.
I'm also feeling a lot more confident now then when I first started. I've come to discover that even though I always knew I was strong, I've realized that I have a lot more strength that I ever gave myself credit for. I am capable of so many things, I really didn't think possible. I suppose what I am trying to communicate is that I found a part of me that I never knew I had. I suppose "Nency" isn't as weak as I thought. And I have to give her kudos for going after all her goals and dreams. Coming out here to NYC on my own took a lot of courage and even though it hasn't been easy, I'm here and somehow making it. Just as somehow I made it through this bootcamp thing! I also feel I'm a lot closer to climbing that middle wall. I think it will be this week as my arms have gotten more strength and I just feel that it's going to happen soon. It would be cool if it was this week before I finish. I'm going to try really, really hard to climb that wall.

In closing today's blog I wanted to mention how there is so much to be learned here at Pure Power Bootcamp. Yes we are all here to get stronger/look our best but the one thing that stood out to me that I really liked from the beginning was the 11 principles of leadership handouts that everyone is given when they begin their Tour of Duty. Even though we are all here on our own journey, if we really take in consideration these 11 leadership elements and what they signify, our experience can be so much more fulfilling. We are not just "getting in shape" but changing for the better and building a trait known as character. Which in my opinion isn't so bad for a gym to have...
Honor. Trust. Respect. Integrity. Duty. Loyalty. Power. Courage. Dignity.Wisdom. Pride.
