A Great "BIG" thanks to all those that have helped along the way and through out this journey...

Hello, everyone!!
Just wanted to take the time today to give a "BIG" shout out and a special thanks to my sponsors and all the people that have helped me along the way through this journey of preparing for Ms. United States 2011. The saying of it takes a village really holds truth and in my case it definately took all of NYC! As everyone I have met had somehow had a impact that has shaped me to where I am today; I've learned a lot from NYC. Hence there are some that have really been the core of all this and without them I really don't think I would be where I am today nor would I have been able to feel sooo soo good of how I'm feeling right now. I feel strong and like a pillar of strength, ready! So without further jibber jabbering I wanted to take the time to say "thank you" to my pageant coach Graziella and Liana (you ladies are wonderful cheerleaders and I've learned so much from all our meetings. Thank you for all you've done-it is greatly appreciated... you ladies are truely amazing and very inspirational.)

To Pure Power Bootcamp- Lauren (thank you so much for sponsoring me and for starting PPBC-I don't know where I would be with out it; I'm soooo sooo glad you left wall street! On your website you mentioned you wanted to impact people's lives - for the record u did for me), Lizzie (thanks for all my morning wake up calls and always checking up), Nicio (you toughen me up so now no one messes with this East-West coast mixture!), JR (if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have my bulging muscles- I have muscles now!), and can't forget Russo!(that first sit up started with you laying the foundation of a pillar of strength) I  "heart" you guys! :) To the the 5:30am platoon (we are the original morning bootcamp gangsters! - thanks for all good wishes)

To my family and friends- thanks for letting me be me and always supporting me in all my rhinestone adventures. I know I've driven you crazy with .. "wanna ask me more questions??" or "Not until after July!" or "Do you think it sparkles enough??" or "I need to be like Rocky Balboa"
Mom (thanks for teaching me to sew and for always being there, I really do get everything from you), Lis (your the best BIG sister ever, I know I drive you crazy with all my "original" ideas - thanks for always putting up with them), Wendy (your also the best BIG sister too and I'm really inspired by everything you've done and the years of service you have given so everyone else can live the freedom that they do. Thanks again for all the loong night conversations and all your ideas so I could have the perfect platform that would allow me to be me. I looove my platform-ur the reason for it all), Dunnia (my pageant chaperone and best pageant aunt ever), GH (peace, love, and tiaras forever),Tio Carols y Dad (Vamos rumbo a senorita estados unidos para la corona!!)  To my little Sunshine Face/Bundle of joy, Little Miss. Sparkles (so glad to have u in my life and be able to take care of you and see all your doggie antics that make life that much more fun -loove you munchkin)

I am so blessed and grateful to have each and every one of you in my life -  I've been so fortunate to be able to share all my  goals and dreams with everyone. Thanks so much letting me do that...

NBC Saturday Morning news Superstars up for adoption in Manhattan..

It' the last Saturday before going to nationals so I won't be on NBC helping the animal shelter find homes for our adoptable pets for the next 2 weeks  but I still wanted to write about them.  On today's segment this morning, we had 2 dogs Lucy and Dino. Lucy was a bundle of energy and is super ready to meet her running buddy as she loves to play! Dino, he's was just a sweet gentlemen as he was snuggling and licking my hands as I held him-a complete sweetheart. Little Jennifer, was just a beautiful piece of art as her coat looked like it was painted on, so pretty. All these three stars are ready for adoption at the Manhattan Shelter...

Lucy A#902188
She is a 1 year old Labrador retriever mix, sort of tiny at 27 lbs, who came to us as a stray. She seems to be a little timid (I just think she is overwhelmed by all the smells and noises!) but she is very sweet.  Would you come and get her, and give her the attention she deserves so she can shine like a true star!

Meet DINO 901435
He also came to us as a stray. Dino is about 5 years old, but you wouldn’t know it! He is a young chap who likes mingling with others, and meeting new friends. He is available at the shelter, come and meet your new best friend!

Introducing Jennifer (A# 902036). Jennifer is a 1 year old spayed dilute calico. She came to the shelter as a stray from the Bronx . Jennifer has the most beautiful fur that almost looks like the brush marks of a painting. She can usually be found fully stretched out on her back with all 4 paws in the air. All you have to do is call her softly and she’s on her feet in a flash. She comes right to the front for petting and love and purrs the whole time. She loves to be held and sit on laps. Jennifer is a gentle friendly girl who should do well in most homes.
