It's fleet week in NYC! yay! There were a lot of different festivities this year but the one that I thought was fun and interesting was that of a sand tribute to the troops. There was 60 tons of sand brought into Times Square where it was made into a really neat monument paying tribute to the troops. I'm really not sure how to explain this wonderful piece of art so instead I am linking some videos below where you can see the process of how all this came together.
